The idea for these earrings came to me just as I was falling asleep. I've since kept paper and pencil near by for those moments of inspiration. While these earrings feature an open book, they are more abstract and don't immediately convey what the design is...which I love! They take a second or third look to decifer. Made by hand with reclaimed sterling silver, square and round wire and many tools.

(Reclaimed sterling silver starts with melting then rolling the cooled silver through a hand-cranked rolling mill and is a long, hot and arduous process. Because of the care and time it takes to reclaim silver, this adds an additional cost to my finished jewelry. Taking these extra steps is so rewarding to be able to bring silver scrap and no longer worn jewelry back to life creating new pieces for you.)
