About Quiet Time Jewelry

How It All Began

Quiet Time Jewelry started in 2011 during nap times and school drop-offs, when I was raising two young children and desperately needed to create something beautiful while still being present for them. The name reflected those stolen moments of peace: the quiet time between lovely chaos, when I could finally exhale.

Back then, I was teaching myself silversmithing through YouTube videos, library books, and a lot of trial and error. I didn't go to art school. I didn't apprentice under a master jeweler. I just had a torch, some tools, and a stubborn belief that I could figure this out.

Over the years, "Quiet Time" has grown to mean something deeper. It's those moments of self-reflection. The early morning prayer before the house wakes up. The deep breath you take before facing the day. The rare evening when you finally sit down with a good book and remember what peace feels like.

That's the space I create from. And that's the space I hope my jewelry holds for you.

Faith, Woven Into Metal

My faith has deepened over the years, and I've noticed many women feeling the same pull. There's a hunger for something tangible to hold onto when life feels overwhelming, a physical reminder that we're not alone, that fear doesn't get the final word.

That's why I started creating faith-based talismans. Pieces like "Faith Over Fear" and "Do Not Be Afraid" carry short, powerful reminders drawn from scripture. They're not preachy or showy. They're quiet anchors. The kind of jewelry you touch throughout the day when doubt creeps in, when the to-do list feels impossible, when you need to remember whose you are.

I create first for myself, as a way of expressing what I find hard to talk about. Then I create for women like you: women who need beauty in their lives but also need their jewelry to mean something, to carry weight beyond just looking pretty.

How I Work

Every piece you see in my shop is hand-forged by me using traditional silversmithing techniques. I don't use molds or casts. I don't outsource production. I start with reclaimed sterling silver, a torch, hammers, and my hands.

Who This Jewelry Is For

My jewelry is for women who work hard and love deeply. Women juggling more than anyone realizes: kids, aging parents, careers, households, and the weight of being the one everyone leans on.

You don't want trendy pieces you'll tire of next season. You want jewelry that becomes part of your story, that you'll wear for decades and maybe pass down someday. You want something that feels like you when you put it on, like your favorite pair of jeans or the coffee mug you reach for every morning.

When a customer told me, "I forgot to put my necklace on today and I feel like I forgot a piece of clothing," I knew I'd created something that mattered.

That's what I'm after. Jewelry that becomes part of who you are.
